Brand works

Design by Kipper. What does your brand say about you?

Digital

Beacon

Security is all about trust, particularly when it comes to keyholding and mobile patrols. Beacon wanted their new corporate identity to look trustworthy and professional. It also had to be flexible enough to not only talk about their security offering but also their facilities and event services. Kipper proposed the company name was shortened to Beacon and the ‘A’ incorporated a semi-circular light as a signalling device. The clean sans serif typography shows Beacon’s no-nonsense approach but was softened by its curved edges to show the friendliness of their staff.

Bailey Eaves

Having refreshed their brand identity and developed printed materials, Kipper was charged with developing a website for both Bailey Eaves and Bailey Roof Systems.  The site was created with specifiers and architects in mind, providing them with detailed information on each of the products including technical specifications, drawings and visual references.

Action Office

Following a project to develop new brand guidelines for Action Office Furniture, Kipper was asked to create a website for the furniture supplier and fitout contractor.  The brief included a desire to keep the site image-led and about the product.  As a result, a key part of the solution was to maxmimise the users browser and also include image overlays and options to show/hide images in full  An image showreel was used on the homepage to give site visitors an instant taste of Action Office’s finest projects.

The Plough

Working from an existing design, Kipper created the website for The Plough Shepreth to include a fully-featured client editable CMS (content management system). This means that staff can login to a secure control panel, and change the text, menu or special offer pages within a standard web browser. This CMS means the client can edit, without fear of accidentally 'breaking' or altering the design of the pages. As a bolt-on to this site, Kipper also developed an online pre-ordering system for lunchtime diners with restricted time.

The Eight Bells

Using a client-supplied layout, Kipper used its technical expertise to develop a website which offered the restaurant the ability to upload PDF files of its menus and special offers, via a secure client login in a browser. This put updating the site into the clients hands, requiring absolutely no HTML knowledge on their part. The site also featured the ability to show/hide text - to enable the site visitor to see the background images of the beautifully restored and designed dining room in a barn.

Opl

A new trading name and an open design brief, was what Opl handed Kipper at the top of this project. The office fitout contractor needed an identity that worked for them in their current growing business model. Kipper created a bold new marque, colour palette, stationery range, refreshed website as well as using the identity to communicate the companies friendly ethos, through its tone of voice. The identity rolled out across the web and current Opl building sites, throughout the UK

Contrada Interiors

As a main contractor for office and retail fit-outs, Contrada wanted an identity that had the presence of many of the projects that they worked on. Kipper was commissioned to refresh what already existed, retaining elements like logotype and colour ways. However, by adding a new primary typeface and containing the logo, we were able to make more visual impact, and create a curved corner device that could be used to shape picture boxes and printed items.

Broadcast Bionics

As a software developer working in the broadcast industry, Broadcast Bionics wished to show both the technical and the creative (on-air talent) working together in their logo. Kipper developed a marque by mixing mediums of electronic and acrylic paint. The brand was applied through stationery, product brochures, advertisements, promotional gifts and styling a trade-show stand and seminar theatre.

PhoneBOX Solo

As a software product, Solo was built upon the history and credibility of its forerunner, which had been defining in its market. The client wanted this ‘next generation’ to use a revised name, but borrow some visual cues from its parent. Kipper created a logo which translated happily into a desktop icon, and adopted a new typeface for use in the logo and across print. Roll out of the identity included brochures, press advertisements, software interface and on exhibition stands.

Limes

A launching bistro needed a contemporary brand to establish itself on a busy High Street. The identity needed to work hard, appealing both to coffee/lunch customers and the evening dining clientele. Kipper created a fresh colour way, and applied it using a blend of white space and solid reverse printing on menus and stationery items. The linear colour bar device, used across all branded elements, is also reflected in the restaurant itself in glass manifestation and canvas prints.
